Our Friday Express it! group are looking for a

Assistant Artist

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about getting involved with supporting the delivery of the Express It! Group. The group explore a creative mix which can be for example;   Visual Arts, Drama/Performing Arts, Filming, Editing and Dance.

Our participants bring one to one or two to one carers and others come independently to our sessions.

  • Express It! group consist of 13 participants and with their carers takes the group size to 18 in total.

This is a group where our aim for participants is that they find their voice and learn how to express themselves through creativity, whether they want to speak up or speak out, expand their imagination, or take the lead! A space for participants to develop self-awareness and self-advocacy by practicing communication and team working skills, in a fun supportive environment.

Assistant Artist

Fridays - 9.00am to 4.30pm for 37 weeks of the year - Term Time only

We are keen to hear from applicants with lived experience of a disability. As a disability arts organisation it is important to be able to represent the people we work with and all disabled candidates who meet the role requirements will be interviewed. This is a part time, term time freelance role.

This is for an end of October start ideally.

Staff meetings are paid extra as a flat hourly rate.
